IECP and Coronary Heart Disease

 

The term ‘coronary heart disease’ covers a group of clinical syndromes, arising particularly from failure of the coronary arteries to supply adequate blood to the heart. They include Angina pectoris, Coronary thrombosis or heart attack and sudden death without infarction.

Heart Disease Can Be Controlled ..

There are conflicting theories about the causes of heart disease with no clear answers to protect the heart completely. The most recognized causes are linked to cholesterol in the diet, lack of exercise and smoking. While each of these causes of heart disease are documented and preached by the medical community, conflicting views claim that research does not correspond to history. They point to the fact that the number of heart attacks was lower when smoking was more popular and eating foods high in fat content was in vogue.

Why cardiologists don't prefer ECP.. A Blog.


Despite its increasingly apparent potential usefulness, ECP is hardly taking the cardiology world by storm. In fact, it seems that for most cardiologists ECP is not even on the list of potential treatments for coronary artery disease. Why is that?
